International outreach is a defining feature of the G7.
The G7 is committed to building reliable partnerships, including with non-G7 countries and international organizations, that grow and secure our economies, promote international peace and security and the safety of our communities, and help tackle global challenges.
Participation at the 2025 G7 Summit
As part of Canada’s 2025 G7 Presidency, Prime Minister Mark Carney welcomed the leaders of the following countries, as well as the heads of the following international organizations, to the G7 Summit in Kananaskis:
Discussions with outreach partners focused on the future of energy security, including diversification, technology, infrastructure and investment, to ensure access and affordability in a changing world.
Outreach beyond the Summit: Meaningful engagement throughout the year
Canada will also convene a series of G7 ministerial meetings in Canada that will include outreach partners.
As G7 President, Canada has regularly engaged with international partners and organizations, as well as industry, civil society and academia, to inform and shape this year's agenda.
