G7 Interior and Security Ministers’ Meeting

Canada welcomes G7 Interior and Security Ministers to Ottawa from November 21 to 23, 2025. 

The Honourable Gary Anandasangaree, Minister of Public Safety, is bringing together G7 counterparts and other guests to discuss global safety and security challenges and strengthen international collaboration.  

Ministers are expected to share perspectives and discuss strategies to address the following common security threats: 

• Transnational serious and organized crime  

• Production and trafficking of synthetic drugs  

• Migrant smuggling 

• Transnational repression 

• Terrorist and violent extremist content online 

• Cybercrime and cyber security 

• Online child sexual exploitation and abuse
