G7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting
Banff, Alberta
Canada welcomed the G7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors in Banff, Alberta from May 20 to 22, 2025.
Ministers and Governors discussed current global economic and financial challenges, with a focus on how the G7 can work together to address these issues.
Topics included:
- the global economy
- economic security and resilience
- the situation in Ukraine
- financial crime
- artificial intelligence
This meeting is an important event during Canada’s G7 Presidency and will help set the stage for the 2025 G7 Leaders’ Summit, which will be held in Kananaskis, Alberta, from June 15 to 17.
