


The 2025 Canadian Presidency
As we mark the 50th anniversary of the first G7 Summit, Canada is proud to hold the 2025 G7 Presidency. This year is an opportunity for Canada to demonstrate our leadership and advance meaningful dialogue, collective action and innovative solutions for the benefit of all peoples. The 2025 G7 Leaders’ Summit was held in Kananaskis, Alberta, from June 15 to 17, 2025. From international peace and security to global economic stability and growth, to the digital transition, today’s global challenges and opportunities require us to work together to find shared solutions.

Land acknowledgement
We acknowledge that the Summit took place on the traditional territory of the Blackfoot Confederacy Nations of the Kainai, Piikani, and Siksika, and the Stoney Nakoda Nations comprised of the Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Goodstoney First Nations, and the Tsuut’ina First Nation. We also acknowledge the Otipemisiwak Métis people and Government who reside on this territory and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta.
